Color gamut comparisons: 13oz Scrim = BLACK, SWOP CMYK = red, sRGB = purple
It seems that very often banners are considered to all be the same. By far the most common material choice is 13oz scrim banner. It is economical, durable, and relatively light weight. When in doubt, this is the choice.
We don’t bother with considering ink loads or how many colors are involved when pricing. Just a simple price that depends more on dimensions, quantity, and finishing options.
The most common finishing options are simple hems with grommets according to overall size and use.
The applications and uses vary so widely that it is very hard to predict with any real certainty how long a banner will last. Most banners will last 6 months or more.

- Durable posters that roll up easily
- Grand Opening banners
- Promotional banners
- Party and event banners

The reinforcing threads that give scrim banner its durability also tend to show up in the surface texture
Grommets are placed based on the use of the banner and come in silver, brass, and our favorite - flat black.
Pole pockets are almost always on the top and/or the bottom of the banner to help it hang cleanly.

Maybe it would be just a little better to use a more comprehensive website design for your blog. It will get you more customers and links.
Thanks for the post. Not sure what you mean by comprehensive. This is certainly not finished and my thought is the blog format makes it much easier to continuously add content. Plus, it makes it easy to get good feedback like yours.
